WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE SCHEDULE IN JUNE.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are actively seeking a wide variety of topics and a diverse speaker pool.&nbsp;<strong>No speaking experience is required to apply. There is a great resource for <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/training\/handbook\/lesson-plans\/speaker-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Speaker Training<\/a> provided by WordPress if you want to learn more about speaking or sharpen your skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>If you submit a proposal, here\u2019s what you need to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Speakers get a free ticket to WordCamp and an invitation to a VIP dinner prior to the event but are not otherwise compensated.<\/li><li>Sessions cannot be sales pitches for your product or services.<\/li><li>Each session will be recorded and submitted to WordPress.tv, so you\u2019ll need to sign an A\/V release form.<\/li><li>We will request presentation slides for review a few weeks before WordCamp. Make sure you can meet that deadline.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HOW SPEAKERS WILL BE SELECTED<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The deadline for speaker applications is MAY 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once speaker applications close, the WordCamp Rochester organizing team will review the submissions based on topic,&nbsp;assumed interest to attendees, and quality of the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPEAKER PROPOSALS ARE NOW CLOSED.
