Shawn Hooper has almost 30 years of experience in the web development industry as a developer, software architect, consultant. Specializing in back-end development, Shawn has many years of experience building secure web applications in PHP, including in WordPress and Laravel.
Recently Shawn has been diving into Infrastructure as Code and DevOps, enjoying automating “all the things”.
During the day, Shawn is the Director of Engineering and Security at Toronto-based SaaS company Actionable.co.
A long time member of the WordPress community, Shawn was a co-organizer of the inaugural WordCamp Canada that took place in his hometown of Ottawa in July of 2024.
